The second lot of 32 rows x 260 stitches of garter stitch was rather wearing but I'm happy with the finished product. It took a little under 250g. This would look wonderful in a variegated yarn, or even a faux fur if you were that way inclined.

Dear Taph, looks lovely, and just right for a snuggly collar. I thought you had the right idea at the school concert too!!
Ooh, yes, I agree on the tiring garter stitch. I did my C Collar in a very fine DK -- see Little Red Hen on Ravelry : ) -- and it took ferEVER. But I love it and feel very elegant in it!
Yours made me want to do it all over again in a variegated yarn, Barb. Actually, it's a good pattern for a newbie to introduce increasing and decreasing and knitting up stitches.
You're the speed queen. I love these collars and intend to do the denbim jacket one, one day. Nice touch with the leather bits.
